String of Memory
Counting, repetition, and the memory held in the hand.
The rosary is a familiar object whose meaning changes with its materials, its use, and the person holding it. String of Memory brings beads, books, and the act of making into a three-compartment box.
A collection of beads sits alongside a small book documenting commercial rosaries, a needle and thread, and loose beads. An accordion carries a sequence of rising and falling words. Together, these parts invite the reader to consider reflection as a physical practice: something made through touch, rhythm, and return.
